Copalis Washington
Driftwood Acres
We stayed here for 3 nights. The site we camped at was spot 14 and had four tents here. My brother Bill and his girlfriend Lisa, his son Joshua. Gary and Michele, Mike’s niece and her fiancée. Our son Robert camped with us as well. The camp ground was clean and very quite but there was no drinking water and the beach access was none. We did spend lots of time at the beach, but it would have been nice to have closer access.
Viewing for stars was awesome, we had 2 nights of clear skies and we seen lots of shooting stars. Mike and Gary brought their telescopes , and they spend one night viewing stars. We brought the canoe along and Mike and Gary spent Saturday canoeing along the Copalis River, both had a great time. On the way there on Thursday we saw a deer along side the road. We saw several eagles and otters , one rabbit and of course the normal oceans shore birds.
